- I had a closer look. On my A3000 there is a small delay before the
- popup appears but this is smaller than a second (more like 1/4 second).
- This is in the same time range as opening any window (like a Toolmanager
- dock) and the small popups at other places are faster.

- So this could be layers overhead when opening a window. When opening
- the popup in front of a dozen other windows it is slower. But even then
- it took less than a second. Do you run anything that could possibly
- slow down layers ?
